Pricing:

I charge by the square inch. To find the price for the quilting, measure your quilt's length and width in inches and follow this model:

Length x Width x Rate.

Example: 90 x 70 x .02 = 126.00

Sometimes prices may be higher than listed if an extensive amount of quilting time is required.

1 cent for a all over

1.5 cents for all over with border design

2 cents for individual block design.

Block design, stenciling, crosshatching, stitch in the ditch, feathering etc. My freehand custom work consists of classic quilting designs customized for your quilt. We also have many computerized motifs and borders to choose from to match your themes.

Thread: Thread charge is 2.00 per bobin

Backing: $5 per seam

Binding: I apply the binding to the quilt top for a flat fee of 10.00. I only do straight edge binding with mitered corners. (I prefer to have the binding completed)

There will be an extra charge if your binding is NOT prepared.

Helpful Hints:

Your quilt is important to me. In order to guarantee the highest quality and satisfaction in the finished product, please consider the following as you prepare your quilt for quilting:

Make sure your seams are well pressed. Top and back should be flat and well pressed.
(Press seams open on the back fabric)
If the quilt has a top and bottom, please mark them.
Make sure your backing is at least 4-6" bigger on all sides.
If you are providing the batting, it should also be at least 4" bigger on all sides than the quilt top.
When choosing a back fabric, keep in mind the thread color that you are going to want for the top.
Light colored thread on a dark back or dark colored thread on a light back will create a major contrast.
Ripples in the borders will not "quilt out" so be sure you measure them carefully.

Please do not bring sheets for back fabric. It causes too many thread breaks.
Note: The denser the quilting design the more your quilt will "shrink" during the quilting process.

Shipping

I have done many quilts through the mail and I prefer to use UPS. I have never had any problems with them and I am able to EASILY track packages and provide the tracking codes to you as well.

Call or email me to let me know when your quilt is being shipped.
Please include a note with your quilt letting me know all of your information and any specifics on the quilt.
I will email or call you upon receipt and discuss ideas.
If I am providing your batting, please make sure your box is big enough for me to return your quilt in.
Please don't pack with styrofoam nuts or packing materials that fly all over when
I take your quilts out of the box. :) Air cushion bags work the best but packing materials aren't "required"

For a Quilt Request form please email me at quiltedcreations@sbcglobal.net

UPS provides 100.00 worth of insurance automatically with your packages. If you would like me to insure it for more than that, please let me know.
Please let me know if you would like for me to have your packages signed for on delivery.

Payment

Deposits are welcome but not required.
Sometimes quilts have unexpected problems so I never know exactly how much the pricing will be until I am working on the quilt, so I will contact you while your quilt is in progress to let you know your billing.

Quilts are not released until payment is made.
